Community and Brand Rules

Kavi Media, Inc.
Version 1.0 — Effective 20 October 2026
Published at kavi.audio/legal/community-brand-rules

1. About these Rules

1.1 These Community and Brand Rules are one of the Kavi Creator Policies. They cover: (a) how creators behave in Kavi's community spaces; and (b) how creators may use the Kavi name and logo.

1.2 These Rules are issued by Kavi Media, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA (mailing address: 169 Madison Ave STE 30314, New York, NY 10016, USA) ("Kavi").

1.3 In these Rules, "your signed agreement" means everything you have signed or accepted with Kavi (your Creator Master Agreement, Music Master Agreement or Audiobook Master Agreement (each a "Master"), its Schedules, Rate Card, exhibits, joinders, riders and addenda, any other signed document with Kavi and, if you post short-form audio, the Creator Terms — Short-form).

2. Who these Rules apply to

These Rules apply to every creator, co-host, co-owner, author and approved short-form creator with a Kavi Creator Portal ("Portal") account.

3. Kavi community spaces

3.1 What they are. Kavi's community spaces are the places Kavi runs for creators to meet, share and learn, such as Kavi's creator Discord server, Kavi-hosted group chats, online sessions and in-person events ("community spaces"). Kavi Studio, both the physical studio and the online studio, is governed by the Studio Use Agreement and Liability Waiver (Document P); the conduct rules in section 4 also apply there.

3.2 Taking part is optional. You never have to join, attend, post in or promote anything in a community space. Choosing not to take part has no consequence under your signed agreement. Nothing said in a community space is an instruction about how, when or where you make your content.

3.3 Third-party platforms. Community spaces hosted on a third-party platform (such as Discord) are also subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy, which you accept with that platform.

4. How to behave in community spaces

4.1 Be respectful. Treat other creators, guests and Kavi staff with respect. Disagreement and critical feedback are fine; personal attacks are not.

4.2 Do not: (a) harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, or send unwanted sexual messages or content; (b) attack or demean anyone because of religion, caste, race, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics; (c) share anyone's private information (such as a phone number, address or financial details) without their consent; (d) share anything the Community Guidelines prohibit; (e) share another creator's unreleased content, or any confidential information, without permission. The terms of your agreement with Kavi (including rates, windows and tiers) and non-public analytics are confidential under your signed agreement; you may always say publicly that your show or release is on Kavi and whether it is exclusive; (f) organize, offer or join stream swapping, "listen for listen" schemes or any other way of artificially inflating plays; (g) spam, or repeatedly promote products, services or deals to other members without their invitation; (h) impersonate Kavi staff or another creator; or (i) record or screenshot other members' private conversations and share them outside the space without consent.

4.2A Creators under the age of majority. Some creators have not reached the age of majority where they live and have signed with a Minor / Guardian Rider. (a) Do not contact a creator you know or believe is under the age of majority by private or direct message (including Discord direct messages), except through their parent or guardian or through channels Kavi names as official and logged. (b) A creator under the age of majority may attend a Kavi-hosted online session or in-person event only with their parent or guardian (or another adult the parent or guardian names in writing) present. (c) Never ask a creator under the age of majority for, or share, their home address, school, phone number or location.

4.3 Reporting. Report a problem in a community space to the space's moderators or to safety@kavi.audio. For anything involving the safety of a child, report to safety@kavi.audio immediately.

4.4 What Kavi may do. Kavi moderators may remove messages, issue warnings, mute members, or remove a member from a community space for breaking these Rules. Kavi will tell you why, unless doing so would put someone at risk. You may ask Kavi to reconsider by email to legal@kavi.audio within 30 days.

4.5 Effect on your agreement. Action under section 4.4 affects only your participation in community spaces. It does not affect your Master, your Portal access, your content or your royalties. Your Master says whether, and how, any conduct can affect it.

5. Acting for Kavi

5.1 You are independent. You are an independent creator, not Kavi's employee, agent, partner or representative.

5.2 Do not hold yourself out as acting for Kavi. Do not: (a) describe yourself as Kavi's representative, agent, manager, "head", "lead" or officer anywhere, or use a Kavi email address, job title or business card suggesting that; (b) negotiate, agree, sign or accept any contract, order, subscription, sponsorship or advertising deal for Kavi; (c) recruit or sign other creators, guests, sponsors or advertisers for Kavi; or (d) collect money or hold funds or goods for Kavi.

5.3 Introductions are fine. You may pass on the name of someone who may be interested in Kavi without negotiating anything. Kavi deals with that person through its officers in the United States.

5.4 India and Canada. If you are resident in India or Canada, your India Addendum or Canada Rider sets these rules out in full and they are part of your signed agreement.

5.5 Kavi does not act for you either. Kavi is not your agent, manager or representative. When Kavi passes on a brand's inquiry or puts you in touch with a brand, it does so only as a Brand Introduction under section 8.5 of the Sponsorship Disclosure Policy: Kavi does not negotiate for you, takes no fee or share, and any deal is yours alone.

6. Kavi's affiliate program

6.1 Kavi may run an affiliate or referral program. Taking part is optional, and the program has its own published terms (kavi.audio/legal/affiliate-program-terms). Kavi uses Rewardful to track referrals and commissions under the program, and pays commissions through its payout provider.

6.2 Sharing your referral link or code, through which listeners subscribe on Kavi's standard terms, is not negotiating or accepting an order for Kavi.

6.3 When you share a referral link or code, disclose that you may earn a commission, as the Sponsorship Disclosure Policy requires.

6.4 Commissions under the affiliate program are separate from your royalties and are paid under that program's terms.

7.1 What you may do. While your content is on Kavi, you may use the Kavi name and the official badges and logos Kavi makes available in the Portal (the "Kavi brand assets") to tell people where to find your content, for example: (a) "Listen on Kavi", "Now on Kavi" or "Only on Kavi" (use "Only on Kavi" only while your content is exclusive to Kavi); (b) the official "Listen on Kavi" badge, linked to your content on Kavi; and (c) a factual statement that your show, release or book is on Kavi, and whether it is exclusive.

7.2 How to use the Kavi brand assets. Use them as provided. Do not change their colors, proportions, wording or design, combine them with other marks, or make them more prominent than your own name or show title.

7.3 What you may not do. Do not: (a) suggest that Kavi sponsors, endorses or is responsible for you, your views, a sponsor, a product or a cause, or that you work for or represent Kavi; (b) use the Kavi name, logo or brand assets in a sponsor's or advertiser's materials, or in paid advertising for anyone other than your own content on Kavi, without Kavi's written consent; (c) use them in political, electoral or advocacy material, or with content the Community Guidelines prohibit; (d) register or use any trademark, business name, domain name, app name or social-media handle that uses the Kavi name or logo in a way likely to suggest it belongs to or is connected with Kavi. This does not restrict your own name or the ordinary Telugu word "kavi" used in a way that does not suggest a connection with Kavi; (e) create your own logos, merchandise or products using the Kavi name or logo without Kavi's written consent; or (f) use them in a way that is false or misleading.

7.4 Kavi Originals. Kavi does not offer Kavi Originals at launch. If it does, for a Kavi Original, ownership is exactly as Exhibit A6 of the Creator Master Agreement provides: Kavi owns the Kavi Format Materials it supplies and that are listed in the Schedule (which may include the show's title, logo, artwork and sonic branding); Creator Format Elements that you originate remain yours. These Rules do not transfer ownership of any other element. Your Master says how you may use the Kavi Format Materials.

7.5 Your own brand. For a show that is not a Kavi Original, you own your show's title and branding. Kavi will not register your title, or anything confusingly similar, as a trademark, domain name or social-media handle, and uses your title as your Master provides.

7.6 No other rights. These Rules give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Kavi brand assets only as section 7 allows. Kavi owns them. Kavi may ask you to change or stop a particular use that does not follow these Rules, and you agree to do so promptly. When your content is no longer on Kavi, stop using the Kavi brand assets for it, except for factual historical statements (for example, "this show was first released on Kavi").

9. Changes to these Rules

9.1 Kavi changes these Rules only as the Policy Acknowledgements describe: (a) at least 14 days' notice by email to the address in your Portal account and by a notice in the Portal, with a summary of what changed; (b) shorter notice, or immediate effect, only where required by law, a court or regulator order, an app store or payment provider, or needed to deal with an urgent safety, security, fraud or child-safety risk, and only to the extent that requirement or risk demands, with an explanation as soon as practicable. Shorter notice affects only when the change takes effect, and paragraph (f) applies to it in full; (c) a change in your favor, or a purely administrative change (such as new brand assets or corrected links), may take effect when posted, with notice; (d) for a material change, Kavi will ask you to acknowledge these Rules again in the Portal. Until you acknowledge, the earlier version keeps applying to content under any Schedule, Release Schedule or Book Schedule signed before the change, as your Master provides, and Kavi will not hold back uploads of that content, royalties already earned, or exploitation of or payment for content already delivered. Kavi may ask you to acknowledge the new version before you sign a new Schedule; (e) if you do not accept a material change, your Master says what you may do; and (f) a change does not apply to content delivered, royalties earned or disputes that arose before it took effect, and does not apply as a new acceptance criterion or an increased production or delivery burden to content under a Schedule, Release Schedule or Book Schedule signed before the change, except to the extent applicable law requires immediate application. A court or regulator order is implemented to the extent it legally binds Kavi. An app store or payment provider requirement, or an urgent safety, security, fraud or child-safety risk, may justify only action that your signed agreement or applicable law already authorizes (for example, a mandatory takedown); it does not itself amend your signed agreement or make a new obligation in these Rules apply to earlier content. Royalties already earned on removed or restricted content remain payable.

9.2 No change to these Rules can impose any promotion obligation, required meeting or exclusivity on you, reduce your royalty rates, change your payment terms, or change the rights you have granted or kept under your signed agreement.

9.3 Every past version stays available in the Portal.

10. Language

These Rules are in English, and the English text is binding. Kavi may provide a Telugu translation or summary as a courtesy; it is for information only.

11. Your signed agreement prevails

If these Rules conflict with your signed agreement, your signed agreement prevails.
