Studio Use Agreement and Liability Waiver (Document P)
Kavi Media, Inc. Version 1.0 — Effective 20 October 2026
These Terms are not signed on their own. They become binding when they are incorporated into a Signing Sheet that is signed. They are published at kavi.audio/legal/studio/v1.0 and a PDF copy is attached to every signing envelope; the attached PDF, identified by its SHA-256 fingerprint on the Signing Sheet, is the authoritative text.
Kavi Media, Inc. — Kavi Studio (physical studio and online studio)
In short (not part of the Agreement).
- Kavi Studio is a free, optional perk. Nothing in your creator agreement entitles you to it, and Kavi can stop offering it at any time.
- Part A covers the physical studio. For now it is a room in a private home in Alpharetta, Georgia, where a Kavi representative lives. You get the address only in your booking confirmation, and you must keep it private. You and everyone you bring must be 18 or older. Nobody under 18 may come, with no exceptions. You book ahead, follow the house rules, and bring only guests who have signed the short Guest Waiver (Annex P-1).
- Part A asks you to accept the risks of visiting a private home and to give up claims against Kavi and the household for ordinary negligence (clauses A13 and A14). It never covers gross negligence or willful misconduct. Read those clauses before you sign.
- Part B covers Kavi Studio online, the browser app at studio.kavi.audio. It records each speaker's microphone as a separate audio track and keeps the session files for 90 days. Kavi does not record video, screen sharing or the live call. Everyone in a session must agree to be recorded on the join screen (Annex P-2) before their microphone is recorded.
- Your recordings stay yours. Kavi gets a license to them only if you later deliver them under your creator agreement. Kavi never uses raw Studio recordings to train AI. (A voice actor's recording session under a Voice License Agreement, Document O, is governed by that agreement instead; see clause C2A.)
How this Agreement works.
- Who signs.
- A Kavi creator, co-host or co-owner (the User) signs the Signing Sheet for this Agreement once, through DocuSeal, and Kavi countersigns.
- Part A applies whenever the User books or visits a Physical Studio location.
- Part B applies whenever the User hosts or joins a session in the Online Studio.
- Part C applies to both.
- Guests.
- An adult guest whom a User brings to the Physical Studio signs only Annex P-1 (Guest Waiver).
- A person who joins an Online Studio session without being a User accepts only the join-screen notice in Annex P-2.
- Other releases still apply. Neither Annex replaces the Guest / Participant Release (Document G) or the Cast & Writer Release (Document G2). The creator still needs those before publishing anyone's contribution.
This Studio Use Agreement and Liability Waiver (this "Agreement") consists of the Studio Use Signing Sheet (the "Signing Sheet") and these terms, which are incorporated into it. It is made on the date the Signing Sheet is signed by the last party to sign it (the "Effective Date") between:
- Kavi Media, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its principal place of business in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA, and mailing address at 169 Madison Ave STE 30314, New York, NY 10016, USA ("Kavi"); and
- the individual named as User in the Signing Sheet (the "User", "you").
1. Definitions
1.1 "Kavi Creator Agreement" means any of the following that is in effect between you and Kavi, or that you have signed with Kavi as a co-host or co-owner:
- a Creator Master Agreement (Document A), including a Co-Host Joinder (Exhibit A5);
- a Music Master Agreement (Document B), including a Split / Co-Owner Joinder (Exhibit B2);

It includes every Schedule, rider and addendum to it, including the India Addendum (Document E), the Canada Rider (Document F) and any Minor / Guardian Rider (Document K).
1.2 "Studio" means Kavi Studio, both the Physical Studio and the Online Studio.
1.3 "Physical Studio" means a recording room that Kavi makes available at a Studio Location, together with the entry route, the parking area and the restroom that the Booking Confirmation names.
1.4 "Studio Location" means a place where Kavi offers the Physical Studio. Today the only Studio Location is a private home in Alpharetta, Georgia. Its address is given only in a Booking Confirmation. Kavi may name other Studio Locations later (clause A1.4).
1.5 "Studio Premises" means the whole property at a Studio Location: the house, the yard, the driveway and every other structure, including the parts you may not enter.
1.6 "Household" means the owners and residents of the Studio Premises, the members of their households, and their visitors who are not there for a Session.
1.7 "Resident Host" means the Kavi representative who lives at a Studio Location and runs Sessions there.
1.8 "Booking Confirmation" means the written confirmation Kavi sends you for a Physical Studio Session, by email or through the Creator Portal. It gives:
- the address;
- the date and the start and end times;
- the names of your registered Guests;
- parking and arrival instructions; and
- the location facts listed in Schedule P-0, Part 1.
1.9 "Session" means a booked visit to the Physical Studio, or a meeting room in the Online Studio, as the context requires.
1.10 "Guest" means a person you bring to a Physical Studio Session, or invite to an Online Studio session, who is not a User.
1.11 "Online Studio" means Kavi's browser-based recording and video-call application at studio.kavi.audio, or any successor to it, described in clause B1.
1.12 "Studio Equipment" means the microphones, stands, cables, headphones, audio interface, computer, acoustic treatment, furniture and other items Kavi or the Household provides in the Physical Studio.
1.13 "Recordings" means every audio file made during a Session. In the Online Studio this includes each speaker's track, the markers and the session metadata (clause B4).
1.14 "Released Parties" means:
- Kavi and its officers, directors, employees and agents;
- the Resident Host; and
- every member of the Household.
1.15 "Creator Portal" means Kavi's secure online portal for creators, or any successor to it.
1.16 "Schedule P-0" means the Studio facts schedule at the end of this Agreement. Part 1 of it covers the Physical Studio and Part 2 covers the Online Studio. Kavi may update Schedule P-0 under clause C5.
PART A — KAVI STUDIO (PHYSICAL)
A1. What the Physical Studio is
A1.1 A free, optional perk. The Physical Studio is a courtesy Kavi offers to its creators free of charge. It is not part of any Kavi Creator Agreement. You have no contractual right to a Session. Using it, or choosing not to, has no effect on your Kavi Creator Agreement, your royalties or how Kavi treats your content. Kavi may limit, pause, change or stop the Physical Studio at any time, at any Studio Location, without liability.
A1.2 A private home. The current Studio Location is a private home where people live. It is not a commercial building, and it was not built or adapted as a public facility. You enter it as a visitor of the Household, by appointment only, for one purpose: recording your own content for Kavi under your Kavi Creator Agreement. Recording anything else there needs Kavi's written permission in advance.
A1.3 You are not working for Kavi. You use the Physical Studio to make your own content as an independent creator. You are not Kavi's employee or contractor while you are there, and Kavi does not direct your work. Kavi does not provide an engineer, producer or editor at the Physical Studio. Any technical help the Resident Host gives is a courtesy.
A1.4 Other locations.
- Part A, as written, applies only to Studio Locations in the State of Georgia, USA.
- Kavi may open other Studio Locations. For a location outside Georgia, Kavi will first publish a Location Supplement that adapts clauses A12 to A18 to that location's law. Until it has done so, Kavi will not book that location under this Agreement.
- The Booking Confirmation always names the Studio Location for a Session.
A2. Who may use it
A2.1 Adults only, with no exceptions. Every person who comes to a Session, including you, every Guest and anyone who drives or accompanies you, must be 18 or older and must have reached the age of majority where they live. The age of majority is 19 in British Columbia and some other Canadian provinces and territories. Nobody under that age may enter the Studio Premises for a Session or wait outside them, even with a parent present and even for a moment. The Online Studio is also adults-only (clause B2.3).
A2.2 Users. You may book a Session only while you have a Kavi Creator Agreement in effect and your Creator Portal account is in good standing.
A2.3 Guests. You may bring only the Guests named in the Booking Confirmation, up to the limits in Schedule P-0, Part 1. Each Guest must sign the Guest Waiver (Annex P-1) through DocuSeal before arriving. If a Guest has not signed it, they may not enter. You are responsible for your Guests' conduct, and for making sure they know the house rules before they arrive.
A2.4 Identity and age check. The Resident Host may ask anyone to show photo identification on arrival to confirm their name and age. The Resident Host only looks at it and does not copy it. Anyone who does not show it when asked may be refused entry.
A2.5 No unregistered visitors. Nobody may come who is not named in the Booking Confirmation. This includes friends, family, drivers, assistants and crew, and pets, except a service animal under clause A12.5.
A2.6 Permission to be in the United States for a Session. If you live outside the United States, you confirm before booking that the law allows you to take part in a Session in the United States. A Guest who lives outside the United States confirms the same in the Guest Waiver. Kavi does not check immigration status or ask to see travel or work documents, but may refuse or cancel a Session, without charge to you, if it knows or reasonably believes that a person is not allowed to take part in it.
A3. Booking
A3.1 How to book. Request a Session through the Creator Portal or by email to contact@kavi.audio. Give at least the notice in Schedule P-0, Part 1, and say how many Guests you will bring and give their names. A Session exists only once Kavi has sent a Booking Confirmation. Kavi decides whether, and when, to offer a Session.
A3.2 By appointment only. The Physical Studio has no walk-in or drop-in hours. Arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your start time. Leave by your end time, and in every case by the latest departure time in Schedule P-0, Part 1.
A3.3 Keep the address private. The address of a Studio Location is the Household's home address. You must: (a) share it only with the Guests named in your Booking Confirmation, and tell them to keep it private; (b) never post it, publish it, geotag it, show it in a photo or video, say it in a recording, or give it to anyone else; and (c) delete it from your messages and devices when Kavi asks you to, for example if a Studio Location closes.
This duty continues after this Agreement ends. Breaking it is a material breach (clause A11.1).
A4. Limits that come from the location
A4.1 Why these limits exist. The current Studio Location is in a residential area of the City of Alpharetta. Kavi runs it within the conditions the City sets for home-based businesses: limits on daily visitor trips, on hours that are noticeable to neighbors, and on non-residents working there. Kavi also runs it within any neighborhood covenants. Kavi sets the operating limits in Schedule P-0, Part 1, so that it stays within those conditions. You must keep to them, even if a Session has to end early as a result.
A4.2 The limits. The current limits are in Schedule P-0, Part 1. They cover:
- the booking window;
- the latest departure time;
- the maximum number of visitors per Session and per day;
- the maximum length of a Session; and
- parking.
A Session that would break a limit will not be confirmed. If a limit would be broken on the day (for example, an extra visitor turns up), the Resident Host may refuse entry or end the Session.
A5. House rules
A5.1 Conduct.
- Treat the Resident Host, the Household, your Guests and the neighbors with respect.
- Kavi's Community Guidelines and the conduct rules in section 4 of Kavi's Community and Brand Rules apply at the Physical Studio as if it were a community space.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination and unwanted sexual conduct are never allowed.
A5.2 Neighbors and quiet.
- Keep noise inside the studio room.
- Do not gather, talk loudly, play audio or make phone calls in the driveway, the yard or the street.
- Arrive and leave quietly, especially after 8:00 p.m.
- Do not idle engines or play car audio outside the Studio Premises.
A5.3 No alcohol or drugs. Do not bring or use alcohol, cannabis (including CBD products that cause intoxication), illegal drugs, or prescription drugs that are not your own. Do not arrive impaired by any of them.
A5.4 No weapons. Do not bring any firearm, knife (other than an ordinary small pocketknife kept closed and put away), explosive or other weapon onto the Studio Premises. This applies even if you hold a license to carry. Leave weapons at home, not in a car parked at the Studio Premises.
A5.5 No smoking. Do not smoke, vape or use any tobacco or nicotine product, or light candles, incense or any open flame, anywhere on the Studio Premises, including outdoors and in your car while it is parked there.
A5.6 Pets and allergens. The Studio Premises are a family home. There are fish in an aquarium and no other pets (Schedule P-0, Part 1). Kavi cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment, including freedom from animal dander, dust, pollen, food allergens or fragrances. If you or a Guest has a serious allergy, decide whether to attend on that basis. You may ask Kavi about the home before booking, and you may record in the Online Studio instead. Do not feed or touch the aquarium or the fish.
A5.7 Restricted areas. You may use only the entry route, the studio room and the restroom that the Booking Confirmation or the Resident Host names. Every other part of the Studio Premises is private and off limits. Do not open closed doors, cabinets or drawers outside the studio room, and do not go upstairs, into the yard or into the garage unless the Resident Host takes you there.
A5.8 Parking.
- Park only where the Booking Confirmation says.
- Never block a driveway, mailbox, fire hydrant, sidewalk or a neighbor's property.
- Do not park on the street or on the grass unless the Booking Confirmation allows it.
- Carpool where you can, because each vehicle counts toward the daily limit.
- Kavi is not responsible for parking tickets, towing, or damage to or theft from vehicles, except as clause A14.3 provides.
A5.9 Food, drink and cleaning.
- Only water in a closed container may be brought into the studio room.
- Eat only where the Resident Host allows.
- Leave the studio room as you found it: chairs and stands back in place, cables coiled, rubbish in the bin.
- Report any spill or breakage at once.
- If the room needs more than ordinary tidying because of you or your Guests (for example, a stain or a spill on equipment), clause A6.4 applies.
A5.10 No filming or photos outside the studio room. You may take photos or video only inside the studio room, and only of yourself, your Guests (with their agreement) and the Studio Equipment. Never photograph, film or record any other part of the Studio Premises, the outside of the house, the street, the house number, or any member of the Household. Make sure nothing in your frame (for example a window, mail or a family photo) shows where the Studio Location is or who lives there.
A5.11 Follow the Resident Host's instructions about safety, the Studio Equipment, the limits in clause A4 and these rules.
A5.12 Illness. Do not come, and tell your Guests not to come, if you have a fever or another contagious illness. Cancel under clause A10. There is no penalty for doing so.
A6. Studio Equipment
A6.1 Use. Use the Studio Equipment only as the Resident Host shows you and for its normal purpose. Do not move, open, rewire, modify or install software on it. Do not connect your own devices to it, other than headphones or a storage device the Resident Host approves, and do not take any of it off the studio room.
A6.2 Condition. The Studio Equipment is provided "as is". Kavi does not promise that it will work or be suitable for your recording. Check it at the start of the Session and tell the Resident Host about any fault.
A6.3 Hearing. Set headphone and monitor volume to a safe level before you put headphones on. You are responsible for the volume you choose.
A6.4 Damage and loss.
- You are responsible for loss of, or damage to, the Studio Equipment or the Studio Premises caused by you or your Guests through misuse, negligence, willful act or breach of this Agreement. Ordinary wear and tear is excluded.
- The amount is the reasonable cost of repair or, if repair is not reasonably possible, the reasonable cost of replacing the item with a similar used or new item, whichever costs less. It also includes reasonable cleaning cost under clause A5.9.
- Kavi will send you an itemized written request with photos and receipts or quotes. You must pay within 30 days, or tell Kavi within that time why you dispute it.
- Kavi never deducts or sets off any amount under this Agreement from your royalties, revenue shares or any other amount Kavi owes you.
A7. Recordings made at the Physical Studio
A7.1 Your recordings stay yours.
- Recordings you make at the Physical Studio belong to whoever owns them under the law and your Kavi Creator Agreement, exactly as if you had recorded them anywhere else.
- A Session does not change who owns your content, does not grant Kavi any license, and does not make your content a Kavi Original or a work made for Kavi.
- It does not change any term of your Kavi Creator Agreement, including its license, windows, exclusivity, royalties or approval process.
- Kavi receives a license to a Recording only when you deliver it under your Kavi Creator Agreement, and then only on that agreement's terms.
A7.2 Kavi's limited use. If a Recording is made on the Studio Equipment, Kavi may store it on that equipment, and copy it to give it to you, only to provide the Session. Kavi will not listen to it, edit it, publish it, share it, or use it for any other purpose, including training AI models, unless:
- you deliver it under your Kavi Creator Agreement;
- you elect editing support for it under an Editing Support Agreement (Document I); or
- the law requires it.
A7.3 Handover and deletion.
- Kavi gives you your Recordings at the end of the Session (by copying them to your storage device or by a private download link), or within 2 business days after it.
- Kavi deletes its copies from the Studio Equipment within 30 days after handover, unless you have asked Kavi in writing to keep them for an Editing Support Agreement, or the law or a pending dispute requires them to be kept.
- Keep your own backup. Once Kavi has handed over and deleted its copies, it cannot recover them.
A7.4 Guests on your recordings. Recording a Guest at the Physical Studio does not replace the Guest / Participant Release (Document G) or the Cast & Writer Release (Document G2). You must get the right release, with consent to recording before recording begins, exactly as your Kavi Creator Agreement requires. The Guest Waiver in Annex P-1 deals only with the premises.
A7.5 No recording of the Household. Record only inside the studio room and only during your Session. Stop recording if a member of the Household comes in. Remove from your content any sound or image of a member of the Household, of the house outside the studio room, or of anything that identifies the Studio Location. Kavi may require you to edit it out before Kavi accepts the content.
A8. Privacy at the Physical Studio
A8.1 Cameras. There are no cameras inside the house that record you. A doorbell camera at the entrance records video and sound of people arriving at and leaving the front door, as Schedule P-0, Part 1 states.
- That footage is used only for the security of the Household and the Studio Premises, and to investigate an incident.
- It is kept no longer than the period in Schedule P-0, Part 1, unless an incident needs it.
- It is shared only with the person it concerns, Kavi's insurers or advisers, or the police or a court, where an incident or the law requires.
By coming to a Session, you agree to being recorded by that camera on arrival and departure.
A8.2 What Kavi collects for a Session.
- Your name, contact details and the Booking Confirmation details, and the same for your Guests.
- Your signed Agreement and each Guest Waiver, with their DocuSeal audit trails.
- A record of any incident.
- Any emergency contact you choose to give.
Kavi does not ask about your health. If you choose to tell Kavi something about your health or access needs so that Kavi can adjust a Session, Kavi uses it only for that purpose and deletes it within 30 days after the Session, unless an incident makes it relevant.
A8.3 Notices. The Creator Privacy Notice (kavi.audio/legal/creator-privacy-notice) explains how Kavi handles your personal data. The Contributor Privacy Notice (kavi.audio/legal/contributor-privacy-notice) covers Guests. If you live in Washington State, USA, Kavi's Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (kavi.audio/legal/consumer-health-data-privacy-policy) also applies to recordings of your voice. You may contact privacy@kavi.audio about any of them.
A8.4 The Household's privacy. Anything you see or hear about the Household or the Studio Premises during a Session is private. Do not disclose it, post it or use it. This duty continues after this Agreement ends.
A9. Personal property
A9.1 Bring only what you need for the Session, and keep it with you or in the studio room. Kavi and the Household do not look after, insure or accept responsibility for your belongings, or your Guests' belongings, including laptops, phones, instruments, storage devices and vehicles and their contents. Clause A14.3 sets out the only exception.
A9.2 Kavi will try to contact you about anything left behind. If you do not collect it within 30 days after Kavi first tries to contact you, Kavi may dispose of it, except for a storage device, which Kavi will wipe or destroy without looking at what is on it.
A10. Cancellation, lateness and no-shows
A10.1 You may cancel at any time, free of charge, through the Creator Portal or by email to contact@kavi.audio. Please give at least the notice in Schedule P-0, Part 1, so that the slot can go to someone else.
A10.2 Lateness. If you arrive late, the Session still ends at its booked end time.
A10.3 No-shows. A "no-show" is not arriving within 30 minutes after the start time, or canceling with less notice than Schedule P-0, Part 1 requires, without a good reason such as illness, an emergency or bad weather. If you have two no-shows within 90 days, Kavi may stop accepting your bookings for up to 90 days. There is no fee.
A10.4 Kavi may cancel or reschedule a Session at any time, including on the day, for example because of illness in the Household, a household emergency, bad weather, an equipment fault or a limit in clause A4. Kavi will tell you as soon as it reasonably can. Kavi does not compensate you for a canceled Session, or for your travel or other costs.
A11. Kavi's right to refuse or end a Session
A11.1 The Resident Host or Kavi may refuse entry to anyone, or end a Session at once and ask everyone to leave, if they reasonably believe that: (a) a person is under the age in clause A2.1, is not registered, has not signed the Guest Waiver, or will not show identification when asked; (b) a person has broken, or is about to break, a house rule or any other term of this Agreement, including the address and privacy duties in clauses A3.3, A5.10, A7.5 and A8.4; (c) a person's behavior is unsafe, threatening, harassing or disruptive, or a person appears to be impaired; (d) continuing would break a limit in clause A4, or a law; or (e) there is an emergency, or the Session must end for the Household's safety or privacy.
A11.2 Everyone asked to leave must do so at once and calmly. Kavi may suspend or end your access to the Physical Studio, or to the whole Studio, for a breach of this Agreement. If you are suspended, you keep every right and remedy under your Kavi Creator Agreement, which this clause does not affect.
A12. Health, safety and emergencies
A12.1 Emergencies.
- In an emergency, call 911.
- The Booking Confirmation gives the address to give emergency services and the location of the nearest hospital emergency department.
- The Resident Host will show you the exits at the start of the Session.
- There is a basic first-aid kit and a fire extinguisher at the Studio Location. Nobody at the Studio Location is a trained medical provider, and Kavi does not provide medical care.
A12.2 Tell us at once. Tell the Resident Host straight away about any injury, illness, damage or unsafe condition. Then report it to safety@kavi.audio within 48 hours, with what happened, when and who was involved.
A12.3 Home hazards. The Studio Premises have the ordinary features of a home, which may include:
- stairs, steps and thresholds;
- rugs and uneven or slippery floors, especially in wet weather;
- cables on the floor, heavy stands and acoustic panels;
- low light in parts of the entry route;
- animals; and
- a driveway with moving vehicles.
Watch where you walk, keep cables where the Resident Host puts them, and do not climb on furniture or equipment.
A12.4 Accessibility limits. A private home is not built to the accessibility standards of a public building. The studio room, entry route and restroom may involve steps, narrow doorways or tight turning space, and may not be wheelchair accessible. Schedule P-0, Part 1 and the Booking Confirmation describe the access route. If you or a Guest has an access need, tell Kavi when you book. Kavi will tell you honestly whether the Studio Location can meet it, and will discuss reasonable alternatives, including recording in the Online Studio or at another location. Kavi will not refuse a booking because of a disability where a reasonable adjustment would allow the visit.
A12.5 Service animals. A trained service animal accompanying a person with a disability is welcome if you tell Kavi when you book, so that the Household can secure its own animals. Emotional-support and other animals may not come.
A13. ASSUMPTION OF RISK
A13.1 I UNDERSTAND THAT THE PHYSICAL STUDIO IS IN A PRIVATE HOME, NOT A COMMERCIAL FACILITY, AND THAT VISITING IT INVOLVES RISKS. THOSE RISKS INCLUDE: SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS (INCLUDING ON STAIRS, STEPS, RUGS, CABLES AND WET OR UNEVEN SURFACES); BEING STRUCK BY OR CAUGHT ON EQUIPMENT, STANDS, PANELS OR FURNITURE; ELECTRICAL HAZARDS FROM AUDIO AND COMPUTER EQUIPMENT; HEARING DAMAGE FROM LOUD AUDIO; ALLERGIC REACTIONS (INCLUDING TO ANIMALS, DUST, POLLEN, FOOD AND FRAGRANCES); BITES, SCRATCHES OR OTHER CONTACT WITH ANIMALS; CATCHING A CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS; VEHICLE INCIDENTS IN THE DRIVEWAY, PARKING AREA OR STREET; DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PERSONAL PROPERTY; AND DELAY IN EMERGENCY HELP BECAUSE THE PREMISES ARE A PRIVATE HOME WITH NO MEDICAL STAFF. SOME OF THESE RISKS CAN BE CAUSED OR MADE WORSE BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY.
A13.2 MY VISIT IS VOLUNTARY. I CAN RECORD IN THE ONLINE STUDIO OR ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD. KNOWING THIS, I CHOOSE TO VISIT THE PHYSICAL STUDIO AND I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL OF THESE RISKS, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT GEORGIA LAW ALLOWS. CLAUSE A14.3 SETS OUT WHAT I DO NOT ASSUME.
A14. RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY — READ CAREFULLY
A14.1 RELEASE. IN EXCHANGE FOR BEING ALLOWED TO USE THE PHYSICAL STUDIO FREE OF CHARGE, I (FOR MYSELF, MY HEIRS, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVES AND ANYONE CLAIMING THROUGH ME) RELEASE, WAIVE AND DISCHARGE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM, AND AGREE NOT TO SUE THEM FOR, ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, LOSSES AND EXPENSES FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, OR LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY THAT ARISE OUT OF OR RELATE TO MY USE OF THE PHYSICAL STUDIO, MY PRESENCE ON THE STUDIO PREMISES, THE STUDIO EQUIPMENT, OR MY TRAVEL TO OR FROM A STUDIO LOCATION, INCLUDING CLAIMS CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY.
A14.2 I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING I AM GIVING UP LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO RECOVER MONEY FROM THE RELEASED PARTIES FOR THEIR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.
A14.3 WHAT THIS RELEASE DOES NOT COVER. THIS RELEASE AND CLAUSE A13 DO NOT APPLY TO, AND I DO NOT GIVE UP, ANY CLAIM CAUSED BY THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR WILLFUL OR WANTON MISCONDUCT, OF A RELEASED PARTY; ANY INTENTIONAL ACT OF A RELEASED PARTY; ANY CLAIM UNDER A STATUTE THAT DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO BE WAIVED IN ADVANCE; OR ANY OTHER CLAIM THAT GEORGIA LAW DOES NOT ALLOW TO BE RELEASED IN ADVANCE. IT DOES NOT AFFECT ANY RIGHT I HAVE UNDER MY KAVI CREATOR AGREEMENT.
A14.4 IF ANY PART OF THIS RELEASE IS FOUND TOO BROAD TO BE ENFORCED, IT WILL BE ENFORCED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT GEORGIA LAW ALLOWS, AND THE REST OF IT CONTINUES TO APPLY.
Clauses A13 and A14 are repeated in full on the Signing Sheet, where the User initials them.
A15. Indemnity
A15.1 You will indemnify the Released Parties against third-party claims, and reasonable losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees), to the extent they arise from:
- your breach of this Agreement, or your Guests' breach of the Guest Waiver or the house rules; or
- the negligent or willful act or omission of you or your Guests at a Studio Location.
This includes a claim by one of your Guests to that extent. This indemnity does not cover any loss to the extent it is caused by a Released Party's own negligence, gross negligence or willful misconduct.
A15.2 A Released Party claiming under this clause must:
- tell you promptly in writing;
- let you take part in the defense; and
- not settle the claim in a way that admits fault on your behalf without your consent, which you will not unreasonably withhold.
A16. Insurance
A16.1 Your own cover. You are responsible for your own health insurance, and for any insurance you want for your belongings and your vehicle. Kavi does not provide medical, accident or property insurance for you or your Guests.
A16.2 No promise of cover. Kavi or the Household may or may not carry liability insurance that responds to an incident at a Studio Location. Kavi makes no promise that any such insurance exists, applies or will pay. Nothing in this Agreement depends on it.
A17. Photos and likeness at the Physical Studio (optional)
A17.1 Only if you tick the box on the Signing Sheet, Kavi may take photographs and short video clips of you in the studio room during a Session. Kavi may use them, with your name or professional name, to promote Kavi Studio, your content and Kavi's service:
- on Kavi's app and website;
- in Kavi's own social media posts; and
- in Kavi's own marketing materials.
They will never be used:
- to suggest that you endorse any product, brand, cause or political party (presenting your content on Kavi is not an endorsement);
- in paid advertising for a third party; or
- to train AI models.
No image will show any part of the Studio Premises outside the studio room or anything that identifies the Studio Location.
A17.2 Ticking the box is not a condition of using the Studio. You may withdraw your consent for future uses at any time by email to privacy@kavi.audio. Kavi will then stop new uses within 30 days and remove the material from its own app, website and accounts within 30 days, although copies already shared by others may not be recallable. Kavi pays nothing for these uses. Each Guest decides for themselves in Annex P-1.
A18. Law and disputes (Physical Studio)
A18.1 Governing law.
- Part A, each Guest Waiver, and every claim that relates to the Physical Studio, a Studio Location or a Session, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
- The Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. §1 and following) alone governs clause A18.2.
- This applies whatever your residence, because the Physical Studio is in Georgia.
- Nothing in this clause removes a right that the law of your place of residence gives you and does not allow to be waived by contract.
A18.2 If you live in the United States.
- Any dispute between you and Kavi (or any other Released Party who chooses to rely on this clause) about Part A will be finally resolved by individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration is seated in Atlanta, Georgia, before one arbitrator, in English, and held online if you ask.
- Your share of the filing and administrative fees and arbitrator compensation is capped at US$225 in total, and Kavi pays the rest.
- No dispute may be brought as a class, collective or representative action.
- A claim that the law does not allow a pre-dispute agreement to send to arbitration, or to limit to individual proceedings, will be decided in court.
- Either side may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court with jurisdiction in the county where you live or in Fulton County, Georgia.
- Opt-out. If you opted out of arbitration under your Kavi Creator Agreement, that opt-out also applies to this Agreement. Otherwise you may opt out by emailing legal@kavi.audio within 30 days after you sign the Signing Sheet. If you opt out, disputes go to the state or federal courts for Fulton County, Georgia, or for the county where you live (at the claimant's choice).
A18.3 If you live outside the United States (including in India or Canada), any dispute between you and Kavi (or any other Released Party) about Part A will be decided by the state or federal courts sitting in Fulton County, Georgia. That includes the magistrate (small-claims) court with jurisdiction there, up to its limit. You and Kavi submit to those courts' jurisdiction for these disputes. This replaces, for Part A only, the forum in the India Addendum or the Canada Rider. Those documents keep governing every other dispute under your Kavi Creator Agreement. Nothing in this clause waives any right you have to take part in a class or representative proceeding.
A18.4 Urgent relief. In every case, any party may ask a court for urgent interim relief, for example to stop someone disclosing a Studio Location's address.
PART B — KAVI STUDIO (ONLINE)
B1. What the Online Studio is
B1.1 Description. The Online Studio is a browser-based video-call and recording app for remote recording sessions. It works like this: (a) The live call. Participants join a room by link and talk over a live audio and video call. They may also share their screen. The call travels directly between participants' browsers, encrypted. When a direct connection is not possible, it is relayed in encrypted form through a relay ("TURN") server run by the provider named in Schedule P-0, Part 2. Kavi does not record the live call, video, screen sharing, or anything typed or shared in the room, other than the recording markers described in paragraph (c). Files a participant sends to another participant go directly between their browsers (or through the encrypted relay) and are never stored by Kavi. (b) The recording. When the session host starts recording, each participant's browser records that participant's own microphone as uncompressed audio: 48 kHz, 16-bit, mono. The browser saves it on the participant's own device in small pieces (about 8 seconds each) and uploads each piece over an encrypted connection to Kavi's server, then deletes it from the device once Kavi's server confirms receipt. A piece that has not uploaded stays in that browser's storage until the participant next opens the Online Studio in the same browser, when it is uploaded, or until the participant clears the site's data. If the browser's noise suppression is on, the recorded sound is the noise-suppressed sound. (c) The result. When the host stops recording, Kavi's server joins each participant's pieces into one audio file (WAV) per speaker, all aligned to the same start time. The host can then download every speaker's track. Alongside the audio, Kavi's server keeps:
- the markers participants add during recording (their text and the author's display name);
- a session information file (each participant's display name, a random participant identifier, and timing and file details); and
- any note the host writes for Kavi's editors. (d) Kavi edits for me. At the end of a recording the host may choose "I'll edit myself" or "Kavi edits for me". The second choice sends the session to Kavi for editing only if the host has an Editing Support Agreement (Document I) for that show. Otherwise Kavi will contact the host about it and will do nothing with the files until then. (e) Limits. A single recording stops automatically after 3 hours, or after 5 minutes paused. A participant whose uploads keep failing is offered a copy of their own track, built in their own browser, to download.
B1.2 No AI in the Online Studio. The Online Studio does not transcribe, caption, translate or analyze Recordings with AI, and sends nothing to an AI provider. If you later deliver content made from a Recording under your Kavi Creator Agreement, Kavi processes that content as your agreement and the Creator Privacy Notice describe, including transcription and indexing with Amazon Transcribe and Anthropic's Claude.
B1.3 A free perk. Like the Physical Studio, the Online Studio is a free courtesy, not part of any Kavi Creator Agreement (clause A1.1 applies to it as well). Kavi turns on recording in the Online Studio only while the join-screen consent in Annex P-2, the recording indicator for every participant (including anyone who joins after recording starts) and the access controls in clause B6.5 are all working. At any other time the Online Studio may be used for live calls only.
B2. Who may use it
B2.1 Hosts. Only a User may create a room, invite others or start a recording, and only to record content for Kavi under their Kavi Creator Agreement. Recording anything else needs Kavi's written permission. Kavi may close any room, and delete its Recordings, if it was created by someone who is not a User.
B2.2 Participants. A User may invite other Users and Guests by sending a room link privately. Do not post a room link publicly. Every participant, User or Guest, must accept the join-screen notice and consent in Annex P-2 before joining a session. A Guest is bound by Annex P-2 and, where they appear in content, by the Guest / Participant Release or Cast & Writer Release they sign with the creator.
B2.3 Adults only. Nobody under 18, or who has not reached the age of majority where they live, may host or join an Online Studio session. A creator, co-host, cast member or guest who is a minor records in another way, under their Minor / Guardian Rider (Document K) or Guest / Participant Release. If the host learns that a participant is under that age, the host must remove them and stop the recording.
B2.4 Quebec. Kavi does not yet offer the Online Studio in French. A person who lives in Quebec may not join a recorded session until Kavi provides a French version of this Agreement and of Annex P-2.
B3. Consent to recording
B3.1 Everyone consents first. In some places it is unlawful to record a private conversation without the consent of every person in it. They include California, Washington, Illinois and several other US states. Kavi Studio therefore requires the consent of every participant, wherever they are: (a) every participant must accept Annex P-2 before their microphone can be recorded. A participant who joins while a recording is in progress is told so on the join screen, and recording of their microphone starts only after they accept; (b) at the start of each recording, the host must read the announcement in Annex P-2, Part 3, so that the announcement is itself recorded; (c) a recording indicator shows on every participant's screen while recording is on; (d) any participant may refuse to be recorded by not joining, or stop being recorded by leaving the session. If anyone objects during a recording, the host must stop or pause it, and may resume only once the objector has left or agreed; and (e) the host must not ask anyone to join without telling them that the session may be recorded.
B3.2 No other recording. No participant may record, screenshot, screen-capture or stream any part of a session (audio, video, chat or screen share) by any means other than the Online Studio's own recording function, unless every participant has agreed.
B3.3 Consent records. Kavi keeps a record of each participant's acceptance of Annex P-2: display name, the consent options chosen, the version of the notice, and the date and time. This is the proof of consent.
B4. Acceptable use
B4.1 You must not use the Online Studio, and must not let any participant use it: (a) for anything that breaks the law, Kavi's Community Guidelines or Kavi's Community and Brand Rules; (b) to harass, threaten, demean, impersonate or deceive anyone, or to record anyone who has not consented; (c) to share or record content that sexualizes a minor, intimate images of anyone without their consent, or anything else the Community Guidelines prohibit; (d) to share malware, or to probe, scan, overload or try to get around the security of the Online Studio, or to access a room, Recording or account you are not entitled to; (e) to collect other participants' personal data beyond what the session needs, or to use it outside the session; (f) to resell, sublicense or provide the Online Studio to others, or to run it for productions other than content for Kavi, except with Kavi's written permission; or (g) in a way that discloses a minor's home address, school, phone number or exact location.
B4.2 The host is responsible for their session, including who is invited and whether each participant has the releases their Kavi Creator Agreement requires.
B5. Who owns the Recordings
B5.1 Ownership does not change. Each participant's contribution to a Recording belongs to whoever owns it under the law and the agreements that apply to it:
- for a User, their Kavi Creator Agreement;
- for a guest, the Guest / Participant Release; and
- for cast and writers, the Cast & Writer Release.
Using the Online Studio does not transfer ownership to Kavi, does not grant Kavi any license to publish a Recording, and does not change any of those agreements.
B5.2 Kavi's limited license to run the service. Each participant gives Kavi a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to receive, store, copy, join and process their Recordings. It is only for providing the Online Studio:
- uploading, storing and stitching the tracks;
- giving the host the files;
- keeping consent records;
- troubleshooting;
- security; and
- complying with the law.
For a session sent to Kavi for editing under clause B1.1(d), the license also covers editing it under the Editing Support Agreement. It ends when Kavi deletes the Recordings under clause B6.2. Any wider right Kavi has comes only from a Kavi Creator Agreement, a release or another signed document.
B5.3 No AI training on raw Studio recordings. Kavi does not use Online Studio or Physical Studio Recordings to train, fine-tune, evaluate or improve any AI or machine-learning model, and does not let any provider do so. If a Recording later becomes part of content delivered under a Kavi Creator Agreement or a release, that document alone decides whether Kavi may use the delivered content for its own models.
B5.4 The host receives everyone's tracks. The host can download every participant's track. A participant who is not the host can download only their own fallback copy (clause B1.1(e)).
B6. Data handling
B6.1 What Kavi collects. In the Online Studio, Kavi collects:
- your display name;
- your Recordings, markers and the host's editor notes;
- your consent record (clause B3.3);
- a random participant identifier that your browser keeps for the Online Studio; and
- technical data: your IP address, browser and operating system, and connection, error and security logs.
Your browser also stores, on your own device, your participant identifier, your device and display preferences, and any recording pieces not yet uploaded. The connection services named in Schedule P-0, Part 2 see your IP address. The relay server also passes your encrypted live call, but cannot read it. Kavi does not collect your location, contacts or anything from your device beyond these items. Kavi does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies in the Online Studio.
B6.2 How long Kavi keeps it.
- Session files. Kavi deletes a session's files from its server (the audio pieces, joined tracks, markers, session information and editor note) at the end of the retention period in Schedule P-0, Part 2. That period is counted from the day the recording stopped. There are two exceptions. Where the host has sent the session to Kavi for editing under an Editing Support Agreement, the retention rules for raw material in that agreement and the Creator Privacy Notice apply instead. Where the law, a valid legal request, an investigation of a breach of this Agreement or a pending dispute requires the files, Kavi keeps them only for that purpose.
- Consent records. Kavi keeps them for 3 years after the session. Where content containing the Recording is published, it keeps them as long as the release records for that content.
- Technical logs. Kavi keeps them for no longer than 90 days, unless a security incident needs them.
B6.3 Where it is processed. The Online Studio runs on servers in the United States. Recordings of participants in India, Canada and elsewhere are therefore transferred to, and stored in, the United States. The providers in Schedule P-0, Part 2 may process connection data where they operate. While data is outside your country, the courts and authorities of the country where it is held may be able to access it.
B6.4 Notices and rights.
- The Creator Privacy Notice covers Users. The Contributor Privacy Notice covers Guests. Each describes your rights, including access, correction, deletion and withdrawal of consent, and how to complain.
- If you live in India, you may complain to Kavi's India Grievance Officer (kavi.audio/legal/grievance-officer) and to the Data Protection Board of India. If you live in Canada, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
- If you live in Washington State, USA, Kavi's Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy also applies.
- Contact privacy@kavi.audio.
- Withdrawing consent. Withdrawal stops any further recording of you at once. Kavi also deletes your track from a session that has not been delivered under a Kavi Creator Agreement or published, unless the law requires otherwise. Withdrawal does not affect what was lawfully done before it, or a release you signed separately, which has its own terms.
B6.5 Security. Kavi uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Recordings:
- encrypted connections;
- access to session files limited to the host and authorized Kavi staff and editors; and
- server access controls.
No system is completely secure. Download your tracks promptly and keep your own backup.
B7. Availability and no warranty
B7.1 The Online Studio is provided free, "as is" and "as available". Kavi does not promise that it will be available at any time, work in your browser or network, be free of errors, keep your tracks perfectly aligned, or never lose a Recording. To the extent the law allows, Kavi disclaims every implied warranty, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
B7.2 Kavi may change, suspend or stop the Online Studio, or any feature of it, at any time. Before stopping it entirely, Kavi will give Users at least 14 days' notice, unless that is not reasonably possible, and will give hosts a chance to download Recordings still on its server.
B7.3 Test your microphone and connection before an important session. Download your tracks as soon as a recording finishes, and keep backups. If a recording matters, consider also recording locally on your own device, with every participant's consent (clause B3.2).
B8. Suspension and termination (Online Studio)
B8.1 You may stop using the Online Studio at any time.
B8.2 Kavi may suspend or end your access at once if you break clause B3 or B4, or if your use puts other participants, Kavi or the service at risk. Otherwise, Kavi may end it on 14 days' notice.
B8.3 Your access as a host ends automatically when you no longer have a Kavi Creator Agreement in effect. Kavi will keep Recordings available to download for 30 days after that, or until the end of the retention period in Schedule P-0, Part 2 if that comes first.
B8.4 Clauses B3.2, B4, B5, B6 and B9 continue after access ends.
B9. Law and disputes (Online Studio)
B9.1 Users. For a User, every dispute with Kavi about Part B is governed by, and resolved under, the governing-law and dispute terms of the User's Kavi Creator Agreement, including the India Addendum or the Canada Rider where it applies. Those terms decide any arbitration opt-out as well. If the User has more than one Kavi Creator Agreement, the terms of the one most recently signed apply.
B9.2 Guests who have signed a release with the creator. For a Guest who has signed a Guest / Participant Release or Cast & Writer Release for the session, every dispute with Kavi about the Online Studio is governed by the law and dispute terms of that release.
B9.3 Other participants. For any other participant, including a Guest who has accepted only Annex P-2:
- a dispute with Kavi about the Online Studio is governed by the law of the place where the participant lives;
- it is decided by the courts of that place, or by the state or federal courts for Fulton County, Georgia, if the participant chooses; and
- no arbitration agreement or class-action waiver applies.
B9.4 Urgent relief. In every case, any party may ask a court for urgent interim relief.
PART C — GENERAL TERMS (both Parts)
C1. Limitation of liability. (a) No indirect losses. To the extent the law allows, Kavi is not liable to you for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, opportunity or data, including a lost or damaged Recording, arising out of this Agreement or the Studio. (b) Cap. To the extent the law allows, Kavi's total liability to you arising out of this Agreement and the Studio, for all claims together, is limited to US$1,000. (c) Exclusions. Clauses C1(a) and (b) do not limit liability for gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, fraud, or Kavi's breach of its data-protection obligations under applicable law, or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Within those exclusions, the release in clause A14 still applies to the claims it covers. (d) Your content rights. Nothing in this Agreement limits any right or remedy you have under your Kavi Creator Agreement.
C2. Relationship to your Kavi Creator Agreement.
- This Agreement is separate from your Kavi Creator Agreement. Signing it is not a condition of any Kavi Creator Agreement.
- If they conflict about ownership, licensing, payment or use of your content, your Kavi Creator Agreement prevails.
- If they conflict about the Studio itself (access, house rules, the release, Recordings held by Kavi, and the Studio's own dispute terms in clauses A18 and B9), this Agreement prevails.
- Clause 18.5 of the Creator Master Agreement does not apply to this Agreement. Clauses A18 and B9 govern its disputes.
C2A. Voice License sessions. A Recording Session under a Voice License Agreement (Document O) is not a Session under this Agreement, and the voice actor is not a User or a Guest for it. Kavi books and hosts it under that Agreement. Its recordings are Session Recordings under that Agreement, which alone governs who owns them, how Kavi uses them (including to build the Voice Model) and how long Kavi keeps them. Clauses A7, B5 and B6.2, and the statements about recordings and AI training in Annex P-2, do not apply to them. A voice actor who records at the Physical Studio signs the Guest Waiver (Annex P-1) before arriving and follows the house rules in it.
C3. Notices.
- Kavi gives you notices through the Creator Portal or by email to the address you gave Kavi.
- You give Kavi notices by email: safety matters to safety@kavi.audio, privacy matters to privacy@kavi.audio, bookings to contact@kavi.audio, and anything else to legal@kavi.audio.
- Kavi's postal address for notices is 169 Madison Ave STE 30314, New York, NY 10016, USA.
- No notice is ever sent to, or served at, a Studio Location.
C4. No employment or partnership. Nothing in this Agreement makes you Kavi's employee, worker, agent or partner, or makes any member of the Household your employer or host for any purpose other than the Session.
C5. Changes.
- Schedule P-0. Kavi may update Schedule P-0 (for example, to change a limit, a provider or a Studio Location's facts) by posting the new version in the Creator Portal. For the Physical Studio, the version in force when Kavi sends a Booking Confirmation applies to that Session. For the Online Studio, a change applies to sessions that start 14 days after it is posted. A change that shortens retention, or makes a limit stricter, may apply immediately where the law or the Household's safety requires it.
- Everything else. Kavi may change the rest of this Agreement only by giving you at least 30 days' notice. No change applies to an incident, or a dispute, that happened before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Studio. Your Kavi Creator Agreement is unaffected.
- Annex P-2. A new version of Annex P-2 applies to participants who accept it after it is published.
C6. Severability. If any part of this Agreement is unenforceable, it is enforced to the extent the law allows, and the rest continues. Clause A14.4 applies to the release.
C7. Assignment. Kavi may transfer this Agreement to a successor to its business. You may not transfer it. The Released Parties who are not Kavi may rely on clauses A13, A14, A15 and A18 directly.
C8. Open-source software. The Online Studio is built on open-source software, including MiroTalk P2P, which is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. The Online Studio's About page gives a link to the corresponding source code of the version Kavi runs. Nothing in this Agreement limits any right that license gives you in that software.
C9. Language. This Agreement is in English. Kavi may, as a courtesy, provide a Telugu translation or summary. It is for information only and is not part of this Agreement; the English text alone is binding. If you live in India, Kavi will make this Agreement and Annex P-2, which include privacy notices and consent requests under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, available to you in English and in Telugu by 13 May 2027. On request, it will also make them available in any other language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.
C10. Signing.
- This Agreement is signed by signing the Signing Sheet, and each Guest Waiver by signing its own signing sheet (Annex P-1), in each case through DocuSeal. If you live in India, you sign through DocuSeal with one-time-password (OTP) verification and an audit trail.
- Annex P-2 is accepted by clicking on the Online Studio join screen.
- Stamp duty. If you live in India, Kavi pays any stamp duty payable on this Agreement in India, and you do not have to pay anything. This Agreement is not stamped when it is signed. If stamp duty is payable on it in India, Kavi will pay it, and any penalty, before relying on it as evidence in any proceeding in India.
C11. Survival. Clauses A3.3, A5.10, A6.4, A7, A8.4, A13 to A18, B3.2, B5, B6, B9 and Part C continue after this Agreement ends.
C12. Entire agreement. This Agreement, with its Schedule and Annexes, is the whole agreement between you and Kavi about the Studio. It may be signed in counterparts. If any copy of these terms differs from the PDF attached to the signing envelope and identified by its SHA-256 fingerprint on the Signing Sheet, that PDF governs.
Schedule P-0 — Studio facts and limits
Kavi may update this Schedule under clause C5. Each row below is the single place where that fact is set; the clauses cross-refer to it.

| Third-party analytics, surveys or AI | None. |
Annex P-1 — Guest Waiver (Physical Studio)
Annex P-1 is the Guest Waiver: a separate short signing sheet that each adult guest signs through DocuSeal before arriving at the Physical Studio (clause A2.3). Its full text is the Guest Waiver Signing Sheet, which Kavi publishes with these terms and attaches to each Guest Waiver signing envelope.
Annex P-2 — Online Studio join-screen notice and consent
Shown to every participant (Users and Guests) before the browser asks for microphone or camera access, and before any recording of that participant can start. The text below is the exact text to display. Items in [square brackets] are display logic, not text. The checkboxes must start unticked. The Join button stays disabled until every required box is ticked. The participant's choices, the notice version ("P-2 v1.0") and the date and time are saved as the consent record (clause B3.3).
Part 1 — Screen text
Kavi Studio — before you join
[If a recording is in progress:] Recording is on in this room now. You will be recorded as soon as you join.
This session can be recorded. When the host records, Kavi Studio records the sound from your microphone (your voice and any sound around you) as your own audio track. It sends that track to Kavi's server in the United States, where it is combined with the other speakers' tracks and given to the host. A red recording indicator shows while recording is on. Kavi does not record video, screen sharing or the call itself. Markers that participants type during a recording are saved with it.
By joining, you agree that:
- you will be recorded whenever recording is on, from when you join until you leave. You can refuse by not joining, or stop by leaving at any time;
- the host, a Kavi creator, receives your track. If you are a guest, any use of it in a show is governed by the release you sign with the host (Kavi's Guest / Participant Release or Cast & Writer Release), not by this screen;
- Kavi stores your track only to run Kavi Studio. It deletes the session files 90 days after the recording, unless the host sends them to Kavi for editing or the law requires them to be kept. Kavi never uses Studio recordings to train AI (the only exception is a voice actor's own recordings under a signed Voice License Agreement);
- you will not record, screenshot or stream anyone in this session any other way without everyone's agreement; and
- you accept the Kavi Studio terms for participants (kavi.audio/legal/studio, Part B).
Your data. Kavi Media, Inc. (USA) collects your display name, your recording, markers you add, your choices on this screen, and technical data (IP address, browser, logs) to run the session. It processes them in the United States. Kavi's call-connection providers (Google, and Metered for relaying the encrypted call) see your IP address. Details and your rights are in Kavi's Contributor Privacy Notice (kavi.audio/legal/contributor-privacy-notice), or the Creator Privacy Notice if you are a Kavi creator. To access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent or complain, email privacy@kavi.audio. Withdrawing consent stops further recording of you. It does not affect what was lawfully done before, or a release you signed separately.
Age. You must be 18 or older and have reached the age of majority where you live. Kavi Studio is not available to anyone younger.
Your name as others will see it: [text field, required]
Where do you live? [Country: United States / India / Canada / Other] [State or province, if United States or Canada] [required]
[If Canada and Quebec is chosen:] Kavi Studio is not yet available in French, so we can't record residents of Quebec yet. You can't join a recorded session. [Join disabled]
☐ I agree to be recorded and to the terms above. [required for everyone]
[If Washington is chosen:] ☐ Washington residents: I consent to Kavi collecting my voice recording in this session, so that Kavi can run Kavi Studio. [required] ☐ Washington residents: I separately consent to Kavi sharing my voice recording with the host and with Kavi's service providers, and, if the host sends the session for editing, with Kavi's editors. [required] Kavi's Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (kavi.audio/legal/consumer-health-data-privacy-policy) applies.
[If India is chosen:] ☐ India residents: I give my consent under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for Kavi to process my name, voice recording and technical data for the purposes on this screen, including storing them in the United States. I can withdraw this consent at any time by emailing privacy@kavi.audio, and complain to Kavi's Grievance Officer (kavi.audio/legal/grievance-officer) or the Data Protection Board of India. [required] [Link: "Read this in Telugu" (తెలుగులో చదవండి), once available.]
☐ I am 18 or older and have reached the age of majority where I live. [required for everyone]
[Join session] [Don't join]
Part 2 — In-session reminders
[While recording is on, every participant sees a red indicator labeled "REC — this session is being recorded". When the host starts a recording, every participant sees a short message: "Recording has started. Your microphone is being recorded. Leave the session if you don't want to be recorded."]
Part 3 — Announcement the host reads at the start of each recording
"This session is being recorded on Kavi Studio. Everyone here agreed to be recorded when they joined. If anyone does not want to be recorded, please say so now, or leave the session."
If any participant objects, the host stops or pauses the recording (clause B3.1(d)). For a guest who will appear in published content, the host must also follow the Guest / Participant Release, including its Appendix 1 verbal-consent script where that Release has not yet been signed.
Versions
