Intimate Image and Impersonation Removal
Kavi Media, Inc.
Version 1.0 — Effective 20 October 2026
Published at kavi.audio/legal/intimate-image-removal
In short: if an intimate image, video or audio of you is on Kavi without your consent, including an AI-generated or "morphed" one, or if content on Kavi impersonates you, email Kavi at safety@kavi.audio. Someone you authorize can ask for you, and you do not need an account. Do not send Kavi the image or audio: send a link or say where it is. Kavi removes it within 48 hours after a valid request, and within 2 hours for a complaint from India, and makes reasonable efforts to remove identical copies.
1. What this page is for
1.1 Email Kavi to ask it to remove content on Kavi that is: (a) an intimate image, video or audio of a real person shared without that person's consent, including content that is AI-generated, edited or "morphed", and content that exposes a person's private areas, shows them fully or partly nude, or shows them in a sexual act; or (b) content that impersonates a real person, including an AI-generated or morphed image, voice or likeness.
1.2 Who can ask. The person shown or heard, or someone authorized to act for them (for example, a parent or guardian, a lawyer, or a person they have asked to help). You do not need a Kavi account, and you do not need to live in the United States or India.
1.3 Where the content might be. Anywhere on Kavi: audio in an episode, show, audiobook or Bite; artwork; a profile photo; a playlist cover; a video version; or a title or description.
1.4 How this process works in law. It follows the notice-and-removal process in the US TAKE IT DOWN Act and the complaint process in rule 3(2) of India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (the "IT Rules"). It is the process described in section 15 of Kavi's Terms of Service, section 11.2 of Kavi's Community Guidelines and section 12.4 of the Kavi Creator Terms — Short-form.
2. Before you start
2.1 If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 in the United States or 112 in India.
2.2 Do not send Kavi the image, video or audio. Do not upload it, attach it or email it, even to Kavi. Give a link to it on Kavi, or tell Kavi where it is (section 3).
2.3 If the person shown or heard is under 18, say so in your email. Do not download, copy or share the content: doing so can be a crime. Kavi removes it immediately and reports it as the law requires, including to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline in the United States and to the police or India's national cyber-crime reporting portal in India.
3. What to tell Kavi
3.1 A valid request is in writing and includes: (a) the physical or electronic signature of the person shown or heard, or of someone authorized to act for them (typing your full name at the end of your email is an electronic signature); (b) enough information for Kavi to identify and find the content: a link to it on Kavi, or the name of the show, episode, audiobook, Bite, profile or playlist, and the time in the audio where it occurs; (c) a brief statement that you believe in good faith that the content was published without the consent of the person shown or heard (or, for impersonation, that it impersonates them), with any information that helps Kavi confirm this; and (d) your contact details, so that Kavi can tell you what it did.
3.2 Complaints from India. Kavi acts on any complaint from India that identifies the content, even if some of the items in section 3.1 are missing.
3.3 How to send it. Email safety@kavi.audio with this information. There is no form, no account and no charge.
4. What Kavi does, and when
4.1 Acknowledgment. Kavi replies to your email with a request number.
4.2 Removal. Kavi removes or disables access to the content within 48 hours after receiving a valid request, or within any shorter period the law requires. Under India's IT Rules, that is 2 hours after receiving a complaint from India that content is an intimate image or audio published without consent or impersonates a person.
4.3 Copies. Kavi makes reasonable efforts to find and remove identical copies of the content on Kavi.
4.4 Content involving anyone under 18 is removed immediately and reported as section 2.3 says.
4.5 The person who posted it. Kavi may also act against the account or the creator that posted the content, as Kavi's terms and the Community Guidelines allow. Kavi does not give the poster your name or contact details unless the law requires it.
4.6 Outcome. Kavi tells you what it did. If Kavi does not remove the content, it tells you why. If you disagree, reply to Kavi's email with anything that may change the decision. For a complaint under India's IT Rules, you may also appeal the Grievance Officer's decision to the Grievance Appellate Committee (gac.gov.in) within 30 days of that decision.
5. Other help
These services are run by other organizations. Using them does not send a request to Kavi.
- StopNCII.org helps adults stop intimate images from being shared on participating platforms, without sending the image to anyone.
- Take It Down (takeitdown.ncmec.org), run by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, does the same for images taken when the person was under 18.
- India: report cyber crime at cybercrime.gov.in or call the national cyber-crime helpline on 1930.
6. How Kavi uses the information you give
Kavi uses the information in your request only to find and remove the content, to contact you about it, to make reports the law requires, and to keep a record of the request. Kavi keeps that record as its Privacy Policy (kavi.audio/legal/privacy-policy) describes.
