Content Policy

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Content Policy applies to all creators, uploaders, and contributors who submit, upload, or otherwise make content available on Kavi — including podcast creators, audiobook authors and narrators, independent musicians, and anyone else who provides content for the Kavi platform (“you”). By contributing content, you agree to this Policy. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service.

2. Your Responsibility and Rights

You are solely responsible for the content you contribute. You represent and warrant that you own, or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to, every element of your content and to make it available on Kavi — including any underlying works, sound recordings, musical compositions, lyrics, samples, guest contributions, and any name, voice, image, or likeness featured in it. You agree to indemnify Kavi Media, Inc. against any claim arising from content you contribute that infringes or violates the rights of others or applicable law.

3. Prohibited Content

You may not contribute content that:

• Is illegal, or promotes, facilitates, or provides instructions for illegal activity.
• Infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, or other intellectual-property right, or that you do not have the rights and licenses to use.
• Sexually exploits, endangers, or abuses minors in any way. Child sexual abuse material is strictly prohibited, will be removed immediately, and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities.
• Is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic.
• Promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Threatens, incites, or glorifies violence, terrorism, or serious harm to any person or group.
• Harasses, bullies, intimidates, or abuses any person.
• Is defamatory, libelous, or knowingly false or misleading in a way that causes harm.
• Violates the privacy or publicity rights of any person, including using a person’s name, voice, image, or likeness without their consent.
• Promotes or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, disordered eating, or dangerous acts.
• Contains malware, spam, deceptive links, or fraudulent, phishing, or scam material.
• Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.

4. Additional Standards for Content Available in India

For content made available to users in India, and consistent with the standards reflected in the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and applicable Indian law, you must also exercise due care and discretion so that your content does not:

• Violate any law in force in India.
• Threaten the sovereignty, integrity, unity, or security of India.
• Harm India’s friendly relations with foreign States.
• Threaten public order or incite the commission of any offence.
• Promote enmity, hatred, or disharmony between religious, racial, linguistic, regional, or other groups, or insult the religious beliefs of any community.
• Fail to exercise due caution and discretion when depicting India’s racial, religious, or cultural groups and beliefs.

5. Music, Samples, Guests, and AI-Generated Content

Because of the nature of audio content, the following rights must be cleared before you contribute:

• Music. You must own or have licensed both copyrights in any music — the musical composition (song and lyrics) and the sound recording (master) — and must have cleared any samples, interpolations, or cover versions.
• Guests and appearances. You must have the consent or release of every identifiable person featured in your content.
• AI-generated or synthetic voices. If your content uses AI-generated, cloned, or synthetically produced voices, you must hold explicit written consent and all rights to any real person’s voice or likeness that is replicated, and you must comply with all applicable voice, digital-replica, and right-of-publicity laws.

6. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion, remove or disable access to content that violates this Policy, and may suspend or terminate the accounts of contributors who do so. Accounts of repeat infringers will be terminated in accordance with our Copyright / DMCA Takedown Policy. Serious violations, including those involving child safety, will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
